FAQ

Frequently asked questions about our web design and development services

There’s not one single answer to this question. A website design is quoted based on the needs of each individual project. Every website is unique and requires different components. We design and develop custom websites specifically for your business needs and goals. We’ll review your brief,  assess your needs, and give you a quote based on that assessment.

On average, a basic service site could take a few weeks. Larger scale sites such as e-commerce website could take a few months. How much information is provided during the initial stages, your availability with feedback, how soon the content is ready, and the development scope of the project determine the timeline of each website.

Yes we develop WordPress websites. WordPress is a great content management system that now powers more than 30% of the web. Its huge market share is due to it’s flexibility and ease of use. We do not use pre-built themes off the shelf, we design and build custom themes and functionality for each website, ensuring that the site meets all your functionality needs and unique with its own brand oriented design.

All of our sites are built with best practices and without bloated code, optimizing it for Search Engines. We also like to include SEO Audits in all of our website projects.

An SEO Audit consists of looking at your current keywords, SEO, and PPC strategy and seeing where you can improve based on traffic and content quality. The audit provides a plethora of information as well as installation onto your website and recommendations for strategy moving forward.

Our payment methods differ depending on the scope of the project. We offer a flat fee for bespoke designs and/or development. This process requires a 50% deposit to initiate the project, and the remaining 50% is due on completion.

For larger scale project that have multiple phases and review processes that span over several months, these are billed on a millstone basis equivalent to the scope of each milestone.

For maintenance and support, we bill these on an hourly basis.

Your input and feedback is crucial to this process and necessary to progress through each millstone. We’ll start with a lot of questions about your needs, your likes, your wants and work with you to develop just the right look and functionality.

A website is more than just the physical appearance, it’s also the site architecture and the technology behind it, both of which may or may not be helping or hurting you in Google rankings and user experience. If you’re looking for just graphic updates or content updates that’s one thing, but if your site is not hitting industry benchmarks (like site speed, mobile responsiveness, content architecture, etc.), then it’s a good time to evaluate your options. Starting with a new website lets you talk about your business as it sits today but also where you’d like to be in the next several years. Modern websites have more functionality available to them to make updating and maintaining your website much easier in the future.

Yes we can. APIs are a great way to connect different platforms and pass data across application.
